Starting a container garden is popular because often renters, or condo home owners, just don't have access to the ground. Sometimes there is a nice balcony, or an unused corner of the house, and suddenly the potential to grow your own food is a alive and thriving. Below are a few thing to know about growing arugula in containers.
Arugula is perfect for container Gardening
It thrives because it does not need a lot of root room, a one gallon pot can supply you with multiple plants. You can easily plant 10+ seeds in each pot and grab the spicy leaves as they grow.
It germinates quickly
It does not have to have full sun to get baby arugula. So if you get impatient and and want a vegetarian burger topper you can sow more seeds and eat them again in 25-50 days.

They don't need to be sown deeply
Just make a 1/4 inch hole and cover slightly, water daily and rinse off any pests.
I really love the wild rocket arugula shown in the vegetarian burger photograph, but I grow multiple types as you saw earlier. It doesn't matter which one you choose they all need similar things, so get started and have fun growing.
