Dreaming of My Egg Salad

The beautiful egg. Although it's why I keep chickens I have yet to experience the joy of collecting an egg from a nest myself. But I can still dream. and one of my favorite daydreams? Egg salad.

Out in a field, picnicking front of fireworks, put it in a sandwich or eat it a la carte, there's just something about egg salad that is so simple yet so satisfying. I'm looking forward to making my own mayonnaise and have collected quite a few ideas. So, as I eagerly await my baby's first egg, I'll just keep dreaming.
